Duck for even more groove

Add even more life to your beat with the new Duck feature. You can now sidechain your Life sequencer lanes to the Kick by enabling “DUCK”. Quickly shape the dynamics with the curve editor to get the perfect pump.

Note: The Kick does not need to be enabled for Duck to work. Use the Kick sequencer to create the perfect pattern for your side-chained thump.

Improved DAW recording

The DAW recording workflow is even more natural now.

Click the round icon with the red dot in the top bar, to access the Recorder.
Press record to capture.
Click “Trim” to select the 15 seconds you want to use from your recording.
You can also choose to use the last 30 seconds of buffered input. Perfect for those sounds you might stumble upon: even if you weren’t actively recording, the DAW recorder is always on and will have it available for you.

Offline mode

No internet? No problem! Life now works with any file stored or recorded on your computer, even when you are offline. You can now use Life in live shows, remote studios, while travelling, or any other time when you don’t have an internet connection available.

Offline mode in Life 1.2

To enable Offline mode, follow these steps:

Go to your source file browser by clicking the source file name in the top menu bar
In the top right corner, untick the “Sync to cloud” toggle

Note that new source files recorded with the Life Field Recorder app on your phone (and source files in your list that are not yet downloaded) will need “Sync to cloud” to be enabled to download to Life on your computer.
